Marc Hodges has provided analytical and data solutions and consulting services to a range of private and government entities, including the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii, Maui Land & Pineapple Co., the Maui Police Department, the Hawaii State Department of Health, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation, the Hawaii Fair Lending Coalition, Na Po’e Kokua, and the Hawaii Filipino Community Council. His analytical work for a consortium of Hawaii clients on Hawaii mortgage lending dynamics and expert testimony before the Federal Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) was a key element in the clients’ winning the highest-ever settlement ($150 Million) under the federal Home Mortgage Disclosure Act. In this successful action, Marc’s opponent was the chief statistician for one of the world’s largest accounting firms. His analysis of ecological data and expert testimony for a Hawaii property rights client is the only freshwater ecological testimony specifically cited by the Hawaii Supreme Court in its landmark Waiahole water case.
